The Power System Stabilizer (PSS) is a device that is used to stabilize the power system by damping out low-frequency oscillations. The PSS is an important component of the automatic voltage regulator (AVR) system, which is responsible for maintaining the voltage of the power system within acceptable limits. In recent years, there has been growing interest in the use of fuzzy logic controllers (FLCs) for power system stabilizers due to their ability to handle nonlinear systems and uncertainties. The fuzzy logic controller-based power system stabilizer works by taking inputs from various sensors and then processing this information using fuzzy logic rules to determine the appropriate control signal to be sent to the AVR system. This approach has been shown to be effective in improving the stability and performance of power systems.
